An American bill is penalizing foreign insurers and reinsurers

A bill proposed by Massachusetts senator, Richard Neal, provides for the taxation of risk transfers by American insurers toward reinsurers whose head office is not located in the United States. This bill is in line with the electoral promises of the head of State who is advocating the reduction of fiscal injustices. Bermudan reinsurers are targeted by this bill.
