An international session to popularize microinsurance in CIMA area

According to Jean Claude Ngbwa, the Secretary-General of the CIMA, microinsurance's potential has, as yet, been uderused in the countriesof the area, and "could represent several-times the current turnover of insurance companies."

It's in the context to popularize this type of insurance and to develop it, that at present and till the 10th September 2014, 300 regulators, decision-makers and representatives of the private sector are meeting in Douala (Cameroon), for knowledge-sharing workshops on microinsurance organized by the CIMA.

The purpose of those meetings is to "share the recent developments of microinsurance in the World and in Africa, to evaluate the potential and identify means to enhance microinsurance in CIMA area."
