Appointment of Olivier Bäte CEO of the group Allianz

The supervisory board of Allianz has appointed Olivier Bäte CEO of the group. Currently member of the management board in charge of insurance activities in France and Italy, he will replace, from May 2015, Michael Diekmann who will have reached retirement age in December.

This appointment is a surprise for observers who were betting on the reappointment of M. Diekmann to defuse the crisis faced by American operations (Pimco and Fireman's Fund) of the group.
