ASTREE Assurances: results of 2019

The insurance and reinsurance company ASTREE recorded a 6.86% increase in turnover in 2019.

The latter went from 156.006 million TND (51.83 million USD) in 2018 to 166.707 million TND (59.5 million USD) in 2019. The activity is dominated by the motor class of business which takes over 36.27% of the portfolio.

It is followed by the life and health activities which respectively account for 21.29% and 13.66% of the written premiums. The net profit rose by 214% to reach 51.2 million TND (18.27 million USD) in 2019. Such a significant increase in profit is mainly due to the realization of an exceptional capital gain of 38 million TND (13.56 million USD) on the disposal of an asset.

The equity capital, after allocation of result, reached 163.8 million TND (58.46 million USD) against 123.3 million TND (40.96 million USD) one year earlier.
