Aviva expands in Asia but withdraws from Taiwan

The British insurer Aviva announced its withdrawal from the Taiwanese market. This decision follows the failure to achieve the financial targets of the Taiwan subsidiary. It comes when the group informed the market that its premiums rose by 6% internationally over the first nine months of the year due to growth in Great Britain and Asia. Apart from Taiwan, margins and volumes have met the group's requirements in the Asia Pacific region.
