Axa authorized to hold 49% in the capital of the Bharti group

AXA has received the approval of the Indian authorities to increase its stake in the Bharti group.
The French group, which currently owns 26% of the companies created with the Bharti group, will increase its participation to 49%.

Under the new law approved on last March, this figure represents the maximum limit that a foreign insurance company may hold in the capital of an Indian company.
These investments amount to 182 million EUR (205 million USD).
