Axa in search of new acquisitions in Africa

Since the refocusing of its African activities in 2004, the French group Axa has been present in four countries in the Cima zone. It is the first insurer in Senegal, the third in Cameroon, the fourth in Côte d'Ivoire and Gabon. Controlled by Axa Morocco, these subsidiaries reported a turnover of 83 million USD in 2012, obtaining excellent return on investment (about 10% to 30% according to subsidiaries).
Financial investments have played a key role in this performance. Thanks to these results, Axa is ready to consider all acquisitions prospects, with Ghana standing as its prime target.
