AXA insures the Camair-Co airline fleet

The Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair-Co) will eventually be insured by AXA Assurances Cameroon. The minister of the Cameroon state for public markets (Minmap), has considered the 3.8 billion FCFA (6.29 million USD) offer provided by the French group better than that proposed by its rivals (Zenithe Insurance and Chanas Assurance).

Thus, Axa will cover the Cameroonese airline fleet, composed of five aircrafts, over a period of three years until 2018. However, the information submitted by the Minmap does not reveal whether the other six Boeing that are being acquired, will be covered under the same contract or not.

As a reminder, the Camair-Co's aircrew life insurance (52 pilots and nearly 117 crew members) is provided by Activa Vie until 2018. In September 2015, the company won the airline bid valued at 229, 2 million FCFA (379 338 USD).
