Axa is keen on expansion in Côte d’Ivoire

Henri de Castries, chairman of Axa’s board, announced during his meeting with the head of the Ivorian government that his group intends to expand its presence on the local insurance market. He believes that the growth potential of the insurance business is particularly encouraging, especially after the recovery of the economy. This situation has enabled Axa to target the rapid development of industrial risks. In contrast, the group is not willing to invest in agricultural insurance because of the lack of organization of this sector.
