Axa reveals its expansion plan in the Middle East

During his visit to the United Arab Emirates, the chairman of the group, Henri de Castries, has announced that Axa Gulf will speed its development in the region. Gulf countries, where Axa reported a 20% growth of premiums at 626 million USD last year, remain one of the key areas of development for the company.
In a few years, the staff members of AXA Gulf increased from 150 to 800 employees. The company has a portfolio of more than 500 000 customers scattered around five countries. In 2012, the group reported a profit of 4.3 billion EUR (5.7 billion USD ) for a turnover of 90.1 billion EUR (119 billion USD).
