AXA's credit rating is falling

Standard & Poor's has downgraded the credit rating of France's first insurer from AA to AA-. The rating agency justifies its decision by the fact that AXA's financial situation and its operational performance do not meet the AA standards any more. With the insurer's fundamentals being good, the outlook remains stable.
