Bad weather in the United States caused 32 billion USD of damages

Since January 1, 2011, the American weather events have caused damage amounting to about 32 billion USD as estimated by the national weather service.

During the first six months of the year, the country has sustained heavy rains that caused the overflowing of many rivers, heat waves and droughts in some states, forest fires and numerous tornadoes claiming the lives of 540 people.
