Berkshire is likely to make acquisitions

Berkshire Hathaway has submitted a takeover bid worth 500 million USD for the acquisition of 19.9% of the capital of Wesco Financial , a group operating in insurance and steel industry. This move will enable the American giant to detain 100% of Wesco Financial's capital. Direct Line, the insurance subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland, seems to be also interested in Berkshire Hathaway. Indeed, the Bank of Scotland is submitted to the obligation of transferring the assets it holds in insurance. Direct Line is valued at 6 billion GBP (9.5 billion USD).
