Building a financial center worth 3 billion USD

The construction of the financial center whose plans were outlined in the era of ousted President Ben Ali, is about to start. The early works were suspended five years ago. Named Tunis Financial Harbor, the work was to stretch over 450 hectares on the suburbs of Tunis.

This project, worth 3 billion USD, is one of the largest ever planned in the country by foreign private investors. Once completed, the financial center is supposed to compete with Casablanca Finance City and other places in the Middle East.
