Catlin critical of the management of the Costa Concordia marine claim

Catlin the Lloyd’s Syndicate criticized the way the Italian authorities manage the sinking of the Costa Concordia. Catlin believes that recourse to a complex and expensive procedure is likely to increase the cost of the damage from 35 to 51 million USD. The insurer expects an impact of this disaster on the price of the covers of other shipping companies specialized in organizing cruises.
