CNMA: Increase in results 2019

The Caisse Nationale de Mutualité Agricole (CNMA) posted a net result of 1.2 billion DZD (10.03 million USD) at the end of 2019; an increase of 31% compared to 915 million DZD (7.65 million USD) in 2018. It is the highest profit ever recorded by the company since its foundation in 1901.

The performance achieved in 2019 goes back to good risk management and efficient awareness and prevention operations. The turnover amounted to 14.3 billion DZD (119.49 million USD) in 2019 against 14.025 billion DZD (117.36 million USD) at the end of 2018, that is a 1.96% growth over one year. Agricultural risks accounted for 77% of the premiums recorded in 2019.

The compensations reached 8.4 billion DZD (70.19 million USD). The net insurance margin posted by the CNMA increased by 29% and was set at 1.7 billion DZD (14.21 million USD) against 1.3 DZD (10.88 million USD) a year earlier.
