Combined ratio of reinsurance should lose 8 points this year

According to Lofti Elbarhdadi, insurance director of Standard & Poor's France, the combined ratio of the reinsurers (86.4% in 2013) is expected to deteriorate to reach in the best, 95% this year and to be between 98% and 104% in 2015.

This situation might result in the exposure of reinsurers "to a low rate environment, coupled with a downward trend of prices", has specified L. Elbarhdadi, who has also mentioned that the "profitability [of reinsurers] could be downward in the next two years."
