Compensation of Dana Airlines passengers’ by the Lloyd's

The families of the 147 passengers who perished in the crash of the Dana Airlines flight on June 3, 2012, and those of the victims on the ground will be compensated by the Lloyd’s syndicates, the aircraft insurers. Nigerian law requires the insurer to disburse 30 000 USD of down payment within 30 days after the disaster to each affected family. The compensation limit is set at 100 000 USD per passenger. Relatives of crew members will receive 150 000 USD according to the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
