Covid-19: Standard Bank Insurance to accelerate its digital transformation

Standard BankThe Covid-19 pandemic is speeding up the digital transformation process of the Standard Bank in South Africa.

Customers now prefer to use digital solutions to carry out their transactions, particularly in insurance through the bank's insurance subsidiary, Standard Bank Insurance.

Between January and September 2020, online underwriting of insurance contracts increased by 90%. Underwriting using a mobile application is up by 28% during the period under review.
