Cyclone Niklas has been particularly hard on Germany

From 29 to 31 March 2015, extra-tropical cyclone Niklas had descended on much of Europe, lashing a range of countries including Great Britain, Benelux, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Strong wind gusts blew up to 192 km / h in the south of Germany, which was hardest-hit by this climatic episode. According to natural catastrophe modeling company AIR, insured losses were comprised between 1 billion and 1.9 billion EUR (1.2 billion USD and 2.3 billion USD).

Residential compounds, commercial and industrial centers, agricultural properties and vehicles had been particularly affected by this event.
