Dubai, still Middle East's leading financial hub

According to a British survey carried out by Global Financial Centre Index (GFCI), Dubai remains the number one financial hub of the region despite the slowdown triggered by the latest crisis. GFCI has ranked 75 hubs throughout the world. Dubai comes in the 28th ranking losing 4 positions over one year. Qatar came 34th winning two positions. Bahrain is 42nd (41st in 2008) and Riyadh enters the rankings at the 69th position.
