Earthquake, advancement of life claims

According to the Insurance Board (IB), life insurers operating in Nepal have, to date, settled 74% of the claims for compensation following the devastating earthquake that occurred on April 25 in the country. The insurance company Nepal Life Insurance Company, alone, has already paid 97.5% of these amounts, that is 20.14 million NPR (200 232 USD).

As a reminder, the earthquake that hit Nepal claimed the lives of more than 8 000 people. Economic losses were estimated at 5 billion USD.
