Establishment of new takaful insurers

The Emirati insurance industry is expecting the establishment of five new Islamic insurance companies in the country by mid-2011. Four of them have already applied for license from the regulatory authorities. ADNIC is on the list of candidates ready to establish an Islamic subsidiary. The local market currently has six such companies, a seventh one is to be established by the end of the year.
