Few Emiratis get insured when traveling abroad

The Swiss insurer Zurich conducted a study on the habits of Emirati people during their trips abroad, which revealed that 58% of respondents do not underwrite any travel insurance. Only 32% occasionally underwrite an insurance policy compared to only 11% who get insured regularly.
The Arab expatriates represent the population which have recourse least to insurance when traveling abroad, followed by Asians. By comparison, only about 30% of Arabs, against 60% to 70% of American, Canadian, Australian and European nationals underwrite insurance coverage while travelling
