Focus on strengthening the legislation in the Middle East

On the occasion of the 10th Middle East Insurance Forum, Abdul Rahman Al Baker, executive officer of the Institute of Financial Supervision for Bahrain’s Central Bank, called for tighter controls and modernization of the legislative framework of the business.

According to him the insurance industry is poised to grow in the coming years. The regulators are required meet the expectations of customers who are advocating a transparent industry. Standardization of regulations across the Gulf countries is essential to establish trust between insurers and insured.
