Full liberalization of tariffs

It is on July 7, 2006 that the five-year deadline granted for some departments to comply with the 6/99 law on free prices and competition expires.

On July 7, 2006, the last tariff in course will come to an end. The companies will be free to apply motor third party liability tariffs of their choosing. Each company will have to calculate its own balance tariff and inform the supervising authority about it. Still unequipped companies may have recourse to the market's balance tariff as calculated by the Moroccan Federation of Insurance Companies.
