Generali has implemented its tTriennial 2006-2008 strategic plan

With the implementation of a Triennial 2006-2008 strategic plan, the Italian insurer, Generali, has announced its ambitious move to increase its net profit by 50%, by boosting it from 1.9 billion EUR (2.3 billion USD) in 2005 to 2.9 billion EUR (3.5 billion USD) in 2008. Generali, which has reaped 62.8 billion EUR (76 billion USD) in gross premiums in 2005, is keen to improve its performance through the reorganisation of its subsidiary companies in Europe, the optimization of its capital and the conquest of new markets, especially in Central Europe and in India.
