Generali sells shares of its subsidiary Banca Generali

Generali continues its series of cessions following the deterioration of its financial soundness rating by the rating agencies. Nearly a 12% of Banca Generali’s capital has been acquired by institutional investors for 185.2 million EUR (242 million USD).
The capital gain of Generali will be of 143 million EUR (187 million USD), a move that allows the Trieste group to improve its solvency ratio by 1.5 point. However, Generali is still a 51.5% shareholder in Banca Generali.
