Gulf Insurance Group, 10.6% increase of its turnover in 2014

The Gulf Insurance Group (GIG) gross written premiums showed an increase of 10.6% to 173.6 million KWD (593.7 million USD) in 2014.

As for the net income, it rose by 17.6% to achieve 12 million KWD ( 41 million USD). According to Al-Sane Farqad, president of GIG, "These results are consistent with [the] continued dedication [of the company] to provide the best services to [its] customers."

As a reminder, GIG is expected to begin operating in Algeria during the first half of this year, through Algerian Gulf Life Insurance Company, of which it holds 42.5% of the shares.
