Impact of droughts on CCR

CCR)The droughts that hit France in 2020 have cost 565 million EUR (693.958 million USD) to the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) group.

This amount represents nearly 75% of the total natural disasters losses (775 million EUR; 951.8 million USD) recorded in 2020. It is the third most significant drought for CCR.

Despite the increase of the loss experience related to drought, CCR Group generated a consolidated result of 90 million EUR (110 million USD) in 2020 against 104 million EUR (116 million EUR) in 2019.

For 2021, CCR will be able to cover losses totaling 4.6 billion EUR (5.6 billion USD) for the whole market without calling upon the State coverage.
