Important growth for the life market
The Tanzanian life market has witnessed a 40% growth in 2010, that is, twice the one reported by non-life business. This is thanks to a successful awareness-raising campaign of the population about the products and covers fitting their needs. Life insurance is dominated by African Life Assurance. The insurance penetration rate in Tanzania is of 1%.
