Improvement of Arab Reinsurance Co's rating

AM Best has reviewed Arab Re's outlook from stable to positive while confirming its financial soundness rating of B+ (good). This evolution is due to a series of positive results achieved from underwritings and investments (9.5 million USD in after-tax profits in 2008) in a difficult environment.

Despite the market competition, Arab Re expects its combined ratio of 98% in 2008 to improve in 2009.
