Increase in motor insurance rates

Motor insurance rates have risen in 2018. The Rwandan supervisory authority accounts for this increase by the upsurge in reinsurance prices and the rise in claims experience of this class of business.

The cost of compensation for bodily injury is now between 2500 and 3000 RWF (2.97 and 3.57 USD) against 500 RWF (0.59 USD) before 2010, says the National Bank of Rwanda.
