Increasing insurance offer for smartphones

Smartphone possession has risen sharply in Kenya. Nearly 1 million devices are now being used as insurers expect higher demand for the coverage of this kind of gear.

Some companies have already offered such guarantees like Kenya East which provides insurance against theft and accidental destruction for 999 KES (12 USD) per month. Jubilee is marketing a similar policy in partnership with Samsung and Nation Media Group.
