Insurance Company of East Africa splits up its life and non-life activities in Uganda

Insurance Company of East Africa (ICEA) has split its casualty business from life activities in Uganda.

This operation allow the Ugandan subsidiary of the Kenyan insurer to comply with recent legislation changes, making it mandatory for composite companies to unbundle their activities.

ICEA is now represented in Uganda by 3 entities: ICEA General Insurance Company Ltd, ICEA Life Assurance Company Ltd and ICEA Asset Management.
