This coverage allows the underwriting tourists to obtain financial compensation if the Chinese city where they are to spend at least two days is subject to polluted atmosphere. Six cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an are currently included in this offer. A pollution index is set as a benchmark.

If the basic index level, varying from city to city, is reached, tourists can get up to 50 CNY (8 USD) per day. The premium paid is between 5.17 and 10 CNY (0.83 and 1.6 USD). This insurance is targeting local tourists only.
