Insurance fraud

The annual meeting of the international assembly of the agencies in charge of combating insurance fraud will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) in September 2007.

Founded in 1987 and gathering 120 countries, the assembly's task consists in combating insurance fraud, a scourge that costs the business 150 billion USD throughout the world.
Apart from coordination efforts and information exchange among its members, the entity is planning to put in place a database on the techniques and methods to combat insurance fraud.
