Insurers partially satisfied with their management of corporate risk (COSO)

Out of 465 surveyed insurers and reinsurers worldwide, 58% indicate they are satisfied with their corporate risk management (COSO) over the 18 to 24 recent months. Only 11% are reported to be dissatisfied. Two thirds of the companies consider their risk management programs have helped improve their operational performance thanks to their control over technological risks and to the awareness of individuals about risk. For 52% of insurers, it is the business strategy which has been, over the last two years, most influenced by this internal risk management. COSO is an internal control system of reference established by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission.
