"Isabel" will cost 1 billion USD to American insurers

The cyclone Isabel will cost 1 billion USD to the American insurers. However, and according to the experts of the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.), the catastrophe should not have major incidence on the premium rates.

For recall, the cyclone Floyd had caused in 1999 nearly 2 billion USD damage to properties. The most expensive cyclone, Andrew, in 1992 cost 20 billion USD to the American insurers.
