January storms economic losses in the Middle East estimated at 100 million USD

According to the report released by Aon Benfield, the winter storm that swept the Middle East has caused overall economic losses of 100 million USD.

Called Huda or Zina, the storm has particularly affected Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey causing falling temperatures, snow and hail.

Several hundred vehicles were damaged and extensive damage affecting the various infrastructure: roads, government buildings, homes, schools and hospitals.

The many traffic ports and airports were also disrupted. An initial death toll has reported 9 deaths.
