Jubilee’s benefits on the rise

Jubilee Holdings has posted a pre-tax profit of 2.3 billion KES (26.8 million USD) in 2012, up by 23% compared to the previous year. The sharp increase in non-life business across the overall regional markets accounts for this good performance.
Profits reported by the non-life underwritings amounted to 611 million KES, (7.1 million USD), compared to 179 million KES (2 million USD) in life insurance. Jubilee operates in Kenya and in five neighboring countries. The insurer is planning to expand across the continent by 2020.
