Liquidation of Alpha Assurances in progress

In March 2013, CRCA withdrew license from Alpha Insurance at a time when the company’s financing needs amounted to 3.6 billion FCFA (7.5 million USD). Alpha Assurances could no longer honor all of its commitments.

On 26 February 2014, the high court initiated the liquidation process by appointing a liquidator who summoned on May 6 the creditors of the insurer resident in Cameroon to inform it about the receivables due within 30 days. Those creditors living abroad have a period of 60 days.
