Loss of book value of Berkshire Hathaway

Despite its status of most skilful investor, Warren Buffet has not been spared by the crisis. The Book value losses of Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company of the American billionaire, amounts to 11.5 billion USD.

This 9.6% fall, the second one following that of 2001 (-6.2%) is the worst performance ever to be achieved by Warren Buffet since the start of his activities as investor in 1965.

Nonetheless, it is within this financial turmoil that Warren Buffet has decided to invest in numerous companies such as General Electric or Goldman Sachs.
