Man-made disaster in Tianjin

China has experienced two technical disasters of great magnitude.
The two explosions which occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the port of Tianjin, a city located northeast the country claimed the lives of 114 persons and injured 700 others. There were also 70 reported missing.

Damage pertaining to insurers could amount to 1.5 billion USD. Among losses, there are more than 8000 insured vehicles.
The Swiss group Zurich and the German company Allianz are among the leading insurers concerned by the disaster.
