Modest success of the terrorism and civil commotion insurance cover

Almost four years after the launch of terrorism and civil commotion insurance, the assessment made by the insurers remains very mixed. With the exception of 2008, when the first covers were launched following the turmoil witnessed by the country, infatuation with this plan has faded and today such policies are hardly successful. Standard policies include this cover optionally and few policyholders underwrite it. The 2012 elections and the instability at the Somali borders are likely to boost this kind of cover.
