Moody's keeps its negative outlooks for the insurance sector in Europe

Rating agency Moody's remains very cautious over the European insurance outlooks. Following the publication of the first semester 2010's results, Moody's noted that the European insurers are not able to reinforce their profitability in an environment characterized by uncertainty. Life insurance margins have gone down whereas non-life insurance is stagnant. Although a large part of the natural catastrophes occurring in the first semester has been retroceded to reinsurers, insurers retain, nonetheless, a share of those.
