New beginning for the Franco-Algerian relations

A convention between the two Algerian companies, the Société Algérienne des Assurances (SAA) and the Caisse Algérienne d'Assurances et de Réassurances (CAAR) and the French companies AGF, Aviva France, Axa, Groupama and Mutuelle du Mans Assurance has been signed in Paris. The agreement should lead to a definitive settlement of the Algerian-French dispute over insurance.

This issue being settled, relations among insurers of both countries are poised to make a new start.
