New technologies to promote insurance

According to an analysis made by the South African bank Standard Investment Bank, insurers who manage to establish partnerships with telephone operators and banks are the ones which will realize a greater premiums volume at lower costs. Technological improvements and the growing popularity of payments through mobile phones are providing new opportunities for local insurers.
Most Kenyan insurance companies are investing in new technologies. Marketing insurance policies via these new channels will make it possible to reach not only the middle class but also the low income population.
