Partnership between Lloyd's, SCR and CFPA

On December 10,2019 the Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) has organised a meeting in partnership with Lloyd's of London and the Centre de Formation de la Profession d'Assurances (CFPA). The event was held under the theme of "Cyber risks - Current situation and future prospects". Taking place in Casablanca, the meeting brought together many experts from various sectors of activity.

Various topics were discussed during this meeting, among which: cyber threats, regulations, insurance solutions and means of protection. According to Youssef Fassi-Fihri, CEO of SCR, emerging cyber risks are the most threatening for companies. They are increasingly exposed to data hacking, ransom demands by hackers, and reputation damaging.

The Moroccan insurers need to establish effective insurance solutions to cover their customers. The need to develop such solutions has become a priority in the Moroccan market. In this prospect, Allianz Maroc organized a first meeting under the same theme on November 21, 2019 in Casablanca.

According to the World Economic Forum, cyber risks are the most threatening for European businesses. For the record, the first half of 2019 was deeply marked by numerous cyber claims.
