Pink card, harmonizing procedures

The board in charge of CEMAC's international card of motor liability insurance plans to strengthen the system by reducing the deadlines for the settlement of claims and harmonizing the procedures and the documents among the member states of CEMAC (Economic and Monetary Community for Central Africa).

Launched nine years ago with a view to achieve regional integration, the pink card which costs 1 000 FCFA (1.86 USD) is a document used to compensate the victim of a road accident caused by a motorist, citizen of one country of the zone.

The pink card came into force in Cameroon in September 2002.
